Shortage of Pediatric Dentists
There is a dire shortage of pediatric dentists in Missouri. St. Louis has the infrastructure to train more; however, there seems to be inertia on the part of those who could make this happen. I would like to see this change. Alleviation of preventable oral disease and access to basic care should be accessible to all Missouri's children. I want to see change. Thank you, Sherine Apte, D.D.S. Submitted By: Sherine Apte

Voluntary Placement Agreement
Can your organization help me find advocacy/support regarding a Voluntary Placement Agreement? I agreed to temporarily take in a special needs boy 4 1/2 years ago. Since that time his mother has abandoned him, and I am left with little choice but to continue caring for him. He is currently under a VPA, but will probably need continued care after it expires. I am his legal guardian. I have been told that my only option will be to dissolve my guardianship in order to get him further care. I would like to maintain a relationship with him, but he needs more care than I can provide in my home. Do I have any other options? Submitted By: Frances Landon

Want to volunteer service hours
I am a graduate student in the MSW program at UMKC and need to complete service hours with an organization that is about cause advocacy and I am very passionate about children. I currently work as a middle school outreach worker and want to continue to focus on policy and agendas that improve the lives of Missouri children. Sincerely, Becky Cowman PS. I live in Odessa and am looking for volunteer opportunities in and around the greater Kansas City area. Submitted By: Becky Cowman
