Did Kids Count During the 2009 Missouri Legislative Session?

The 2009 Missouri Legislative Session officially ended at 6:00 pm on May 15th. While the legislature did make some positive choices on behalf of Missouri's children, there were also many disappointments. CMC continued to focus on pieces of legislation falling within our main program areas of health, early care and education, and child protection. We have put together a final wrap-up of the 2009 Missouri Legislative Session that provides a brief overview of progress made in our main program areas, as well as discusses the session's missed opportunities for children and families.
